Iceland – in the land of the Midnight Sun
Everybody loves the Sun, sunbathing and admiring sunsets.
If you decide to spend your next summer holidays in Iceland, you can have the opportunity to live some amazing experiences while enjoying never ending days and some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see.
From early May to late August a unique natural phenomena takes place in Iceland – the Midnight Sun and bright nights!
The peak of Iceland’s Midnight Sun is around the summer solstice, normally on the 21st of June, when the Sun shines for nearly 24hours. Most of the hotels in Reykjavik have good window shutters. However, make sure you bring a sleeping mask with you to ensure a good night’s sleep and to be well rested and ready for the next day full of fun activities and attractions.
Icelandic summers’ unique light makes Iceland the perfect location for honeymooners who can enjoy romantic sunsets, and photographers who can take incredible once in a life time shots.
To take advantage of this breath-taking natural phenomena we tailor-made two fantastic Midnight Sun Tours.
On our Midnight Sun, Golden Circle, Secret Lagoon Private Tour by Super Jeep you will have the opportunity to see the most popular tourist attractions of the Icelandic Golden Circle and have a relaxing bath in the hot Secret Lagoon, under bright pink, orange and blueberry-purple skies.
Our Midnight Sun Summer Dream Private Evening Tour, also by a Super Jeep, will let you live a special summer evening in Iceland by bathing in the Secret Lagoon, one of the oldest natural hot pools in Iceland, and treating yourself with some great Icelandic food in a local restaurant with a mountain view. Relaxed and after a delicious dinner, you will be ready to enjoy the spectacular Midnight Sun and the magical light it creates over the beautiful Icelandic landscapes.
Both of the tours can be specially customised and adapted to your needs. At the end of every tour we will make a stop in the best location possible where you will be able to fully enjoy and observe the Midnight Sun – at Eyrabakki picturesque old fishing village with traditional Icelandic houses or at Kerid volcanic crater where you will be able to observe reflection of the sun on the surface of a volcanic lake.
Iceland is in the middle of a tourist boom and it’s getting more difficult to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of Icelandic nature. Our private tours by super jeep or mini bus are the perfect choice to explore the most beautiful parts of Iceland away from the big crowds.
