Glacier Lagoon Tour – Visit one of Iceland’s most beautiful wonders, day trip near Reykjavik
Magnificent Glacier Lagoon
The Glacier Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most beautiful wonders.
On the Glacier Lagoon Tour, you will visit the charming fishing village of Vík and experience the spectacular scenery of the South coast of Iceland, driving through lava fields and the black volcanic sand desert of Skeidararsandur.
When you get to the Glacier Lagoon you will take a 60 minutes ride on a zodica boat (summertime only) amongst the floating icebergs.
You will be able to feel the magic of Iceland by walking along the so called “Diamond beach” or “Crystal beach”, a black sand beach near the Glacier Lagoon where icebergs often washed up on the shore create breathtaking views.
The journey will continue to Skaftafell National Park, Svínafellsjökull glacier tongue and Fjaðrárgljúfur, a magnificent 100m deep canyon.
You will also get to see one of the most famous and beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, Seljalandsfoss, walk behind it and take memorable pictures. You might be able to see some trolls along the way, meet some Icelandic elves or get to see their little houses.
Time permitting, some extra stops will be made, such as Skógafoss, another beautiful waterfall.
We look forward to seeing you on our Glacier Lagoon Adventure tour

Winter version of the Glacier Lagoon Adventure tour
We do reserve the right to alter the tour as needed if road or weather conditions are unfavorable. The boats do not operate during winter but often they are able to operate through October and well into November. If the boats are not operating the price is 28.500 ISK per person. Svartifoss and Fjaðrargljúfur are not be accessible in winter conditions. But other extra stops will be made (usually Skógarfoss or Seljalandsfoss waterfall). Due to fewer daylight hours in November to February much of the driving to and from the sights will be in darkness, but the main sight of this tour – Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon will be visited during daylight. Winter in Iceland is usually from late October to mid April.
