Lava Tunnel, Reykjanes and Blue Lagoon Combo Tour
Tour description :
Why you should go
On this special day tour, you will visit Raufarhólshellir Lava Tunnel and the Reykjanes Peninsula, with an optional relaxing stop at the Blue Lagoon. You will learn about Iceland’s volcanoes and hot springs.
From Reykjavik, we drive to Raufarhólshellir, one of the biggest lava tunnels in Iceland, where a local guide will tell us all about its spectacular colors and rock formations.
After an hour-long tour of the tunnel, we head to the beautiful Reykjanes Peninsula, home of the Reykjanes Geopark, UNESCO site and one of Iceland’s geological gems, a place rich in geothermal energy, seismic activity and tectonic movements.
We will visit the beautiful lakes Kleifarvatn and Grænavatn, the multi colored hills on Krýsuvík and the geothermal areas of Seltún and Gunnuhver with their hot spring and mud pools and much more.
After all the sightseeing, we will make a stop at the Blue Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most famous attractions. Here you will have time to walk around and take pictures, or enjoy a coffee in the cafe overlooking the blue pool. If you wish, you can take a relaxing bath in the warm lagoon while enjoying a drink or putting some silica mask over your body. (Entrance tickets must be purchased in advance)
We will then drive you back to Reykjavik or to Keflavik International Airport, if you need to catch a flight.
