Lunch or Dinner add-on!
Want to add lunch or dinner to your day at the harbor?
When booking the whale-watching Reykjavik you have the option of adding either lunch or dinner to your booking. Kopar Restaurant will serve delicious fish feasts for you, whenever you prefer to reserve the table – just let us know!
Kopar offers a great selection of courses all made with Icelandic ingredients both from land and sea. Our favorite is the Adventure menu where you get to taste all the wonders of Kopar with an Icelandic twist! Dishes like creamy crab and shellfish soup and fresh catches of the day.
We recommend warm clothes, such as hats, mittens and scarfs, as it does get cold out on sea. We also recommend some cool sunglasses and even some sunscreen in the summer months! The tour is dependent on weather and sightings can not be guaranteed.
Weather and sea conditions can be unpredictable, especially during the winter months. Boat captains will make their decision to sail based on many years of experience, always keeping in mind passenger safety and comfort.
We follow the IceWhale code of conduct for responsible whale watching as we have great respect for the wildlife on the bay. We let the animals approach us and keep our distance so that we do not disturb their daily routine.
Sometimes in the winter we might sail from other harbors south of Reykjavik for better sea conditions. Then we will provide transport for all passengers to the alternative location of departure. The duration of the tour will be slightly longer due to this extra journey from Reykjavik to the other harbor and back.
