Explore less-crowded areas in West Iceland, admire beautiful waterfalls and hot springs areas, take a ride on Lángjoikull glacier and visit a man-made ice tunnel during our special Private Hvalfjordur, hot springs and waterfalls Tour by jeep.
We start our private Hvalfjörður, hot springs and waterfalls jeep tour by driving along the breath-taking Hvalfjörður, the whale fjord, where you can see the remains of a former whaling station. Hvalfjörður is also home to Glymur, the second-highest waterfall in Iceland. The road along Hvalfjörður is beautiful and a great destination for those who want to escape the big crowds and visit off-the-beaten-track locations in Iceland.
Then we visit Deildartunguhver natural hot spring area. Here you can spend some time relaxing in Krauma, a modern beautifully located Spa where you can choose between different hot tubs, a sauna, and a relaxation room for a great relaxing experience surrounded by Icelandic nature.
After Krauma, we head to the historical town of Reykholt and the beautiful nearby waterfalls - Hraunfossar and Barnafoss.
Our Private Hvalfjordur, hot springs, and waterfalls Tour by jeep then continues to Húsafell, where you can start an optional excursion on Lángjökull and inside a man-made ice tunnel. Lángjökull is the second-largest glacier in Iceland. A tour Into the glacier will first take you on the glacier with a special vehicle and then into a man-made ice tunnel with a tour guide who will tell you all about Icelandic glaciers. Please note that the Into the Glacier tour is not included in the price of the tour and tickets must be booked in advance.
If you take this tour in the winter (September-March) we will try our luck in hunting some Northern Lights on the way back to Reykjavik, if weather conditions allow.
