Our Private Game Of Thrones Jeep Tour is the perfect tour for fans of the popular HBO series Games of Thrones. Join us on an adventure to discover some of the filming locations of Game of Thrones in south Iceland and walk in the steps of your favorite GoT characters.
We pick you up in the morning from your accommodation in Reykjavik and head south through the beautiful ever-changing Icelandic landscape. While driving along the Ring Road, our experienced guide will entertain you with some curiosities about filming Game of Thrones in Iceland.
Our first stop is Laxnes horse farm, where you can meet the Icelandic horses that starred in Game of Thrones. Sometimes you can even meet the horse that the Hound rode in the show.
We then drive to the Thórufoss, a beautiful waterfall on the Laxa i Kjos River. Do you remember the scene where one of Daenerys Targaryens’ dragons eats a goat in Merren in Game of Thrones? This is the exact spot where the scene was filmed!
Our Private Game Of Thrones Jeep Tour Next continues to one of the most visited places in Iceland, Thingvellir National Park. The National Park was the filming location for several scenes in the TV series, especially those featuring the White Walkers. To immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Westeros, we take a walk in Almannagjá, a gorge that was used to film scenes depicting the Bloody gate of the Eyrie.
The next highlight of this fascinating tour is a visit to Stöng, a medieval Viking house, which was Olly's village in Game Of Thrones. In the show, the village is attacked by Wildlings and you can even see the spot on the mountain from which Ygritte shot the arrow that hit John Snow.
Depending on the weather conditions and the season, we might continue our Private Game Of Thrones Jeep Tour towards the fantastic Thjorsárdalur valley. Here you can see two beautiful waterfalls: the breathtaking Háifoss, Iceland's second-highest waterfall, and the mysterious Hjálparfoss, also called the waterfall of friendship as it has two waterfalls connecting into one, all surrounded by several stoned Trolls.
Our Private Game Of Thrones Jeep Tour ends back Reykjavik in time for dinner.
The tour is perfect for GoT fans but also for those who have not watched Game of Thrones as it takes you to many beautiful and interesting places that are often omitted by other tours in Iceland.
