We ride to Krísuvík peninsula over the mountain Festarfjall and to the beach Selatangar where we take a short break before heading back for some more mountain safari. We ride on ATV through lava and black sand and up onto the mountain Hagafell, where we can expect a good view over the Blue Lagoon and the island of Eldey.

Sky Lagoon Sky Pass

Silfra is a fissure between the North American and Eurasian continental plates. Silfra constantly fills with glacial water that has been trickling through underground lava rock for 30 years. This remarkable crack between two tectonic plates is therefore filled with the clearest water on our planet, allowing for over 100 meters visibility. 

On the snorkeling tour we will dress you in a dry suit and guide you through the four parts of the Silfra fissure. Floating through Silfra's crystal clear water is an otherworldly experience; the near-freezing water, astonishing colors, and sensations of flying provide a very unique environment for liquid meditation that you will never forget.

Experience a variety of scenery and impressions! We ride on excellent riding trails along the slopes of Mt. Reykjafjall and through a green forest. We then pass by hot springs in a geothermal area. This area is situated just above the village of Hveragerði and expanded dramatically during an earthquake in 2008\. We continue along colorful hills above the village, which is know for its idyllic location between volcanic mountains and wide plains, to the stable area. We stop for some refreshments and learn more about the Icelandic horse before riding back to our farm.

Please note: The tour is suitable for all levels of riding experience from beginners to advanced. During booking process, we ask our clients to inform us about their riding experience, which helps us to choose the right horse for everyone. Beginners and experienced riders ride together. We always try to tölt as much as possible, but do not gallop for safety reasons.

03C - Horses and Hot Springs

This comfortable package includes a 1.5-2 hour horseback riding tour with Eldhestar in the morning, followed by a puffin express tour in the afternoon. After your horseback riding tour you will be dropped off at Reykjavík's Old Harbour, a beautiful area of the city very close to the city center. There are plenty of cafe's, museums and design shops to explore. Approximately one hour after arriving to the Old Harbour you will board our beautiful traditional Icelandic oak boat, perfect for puffin watching.

Elves are known to reside in Iceland and they get to decide where roads can go and houses can be built! On the Elfin horseback riding tour with Eldhestar you will see places populated by these magical creatures. You will pass the small cleft Alfakví and the old sheep house that cannot be removed without serious consequences! On the way you will have a good opportunity to experience the famous Icelandic horse gait called the tölt on numerous excellent tölt paths. At the end of the tour you are invited for a light lunch at Hotel Eldhestar.

Horses & Puffins (Elfin Tour)

While the south is certainly spectacular from "below” nothing beats experiencing it from "above”, snowmobiling on top of Eyjafjallajökull glacier. The snowmobile tour is the perfect length of time for first-time riders and individuals looking for a scenic, fun ride, exploring and experiencing the wilderness, glacier and the breathtaking views over South Iceland in good weather. The tour starts from our base, after a short briefing and dressing up in a snow suit we step into a Super jeep and we drive up the mountain, to the glacier where we pick up the snowmobiles and ride to the glacier Eyjafjallajökull.  

The tour starts from our base, Brú, road 249, 5 minutes further down that road after you have pass Seljalandsfoss waterfall. After a short briefing where your guide takes you through safety procedures we put on a snow suit and helmet (gloves and a mask are also provided) and hop into our modified super jeep. We then drive towards Eyjafjallajökull and up it's slopes, onto the glacier and to the base where we keep our snowmobiles.  
  
Once there, we’ll climb onto snowmobiles for a heart-pumping experience of Iceland at its absolute best. As soon as we get onto the glacier, prepare to be struck by its size: a pristine expanse of snow dotted with rock formations and majestic ice sculptures.  

As we push deeper into this icy wilderness, we’ll start to see some of the most impressive views over South Iceland. It is an enthralling experience with vast snowfields, towering mountains, and more majestic landmarks.  

Glide across the powdery snow with ease. Your friendly guide will teach you all about glaciers and the myths that define them.  

The duration of the tour varies from season to season since we drive up to the ever changing snow-line to reach our snowmobiles but the snowmobiling itself is about 1 hour.  

  
Standard price includes a snowmobile ride sharing a two-person snowmobile. If you are solo traveller / rider you must upgrade before the tour to a solo snowmobile.

**Please note:**  All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid driver's license. According to Icelandic law, a learner´s permit, tractor, or motorcycle license is not sufficient. Single riders and groups with odd numbers must book a single-ride snowmobile.

**Shared ride** is when two people share one snowmobile. Each snowmobile can take 1-2 people at a time. If you book ‘shared rides’ only and bookings are in odd numbers you will need to buy one single ride, be sure to book this correctly in the booking process below.

The glacier adventure will provide stunning photo opportunities in good weather. We provide you with everything you need for a safe and comfortable ride – bring only yourself. Our guides will take you through safety procedures and equip you in special clothing and helmets.  
The snowmobiles will not be a problem – it is just a matter of squeezing the accelerator or the brake.

Whale Watching

We ride on ATV along lava and black sand up between two mountains, Húsafell and Fiskidalsfjall, and then up onto the mountain Hagafell, where we can expect a good view over the Blue Lagoon and the island of Eldey. As we head back we will enjoy spectacular views over the sea and driving by the coast gives an opportunity to see dramatic shipwrecks.

Our expertise, more than 20 years of experience, and our especially designed boat, Skúlaskeið or “Old Skuli”, make us the leading expert in the area. The Puffin Express adventure starts at the Old Harbour of Reykjavík and they only take one hour. _**It is an inexpensive and charming option for everyone.**_ 

Lundey and Akurey are two small islands located in the Reykjavík bay area, only 15 minutes away from Reykjavík‘s Old harbour, from where we depart. The islands are covered with small hills and slopes and both are well known for their colorful birdlife. The island‘s shores are rocky but Old Skuli is especially designed to take us as close to the islands as possible due to its shallow draft. When we arrive to the islands we turn off the engine so our passengers can observe the birds and the beautiful surroundings. Our licensed guide tells all about the Puffins and other birds of interest that are often seen on the Puffin watching tours. 

Other birds spotted include Northern Fulmars, Gulls, Arctic Terns, and Black Guillemots.

Puffin Express

Seeing the Northern Lights at sea is an amazing experience; sailing away from the coastline of Reykjavík and seeing the auroras on the North-Atlantic with the city lights in the background is something you won't forget!

Our expert guide will help you to search for the lights while telling you all about the science, legends and myths that surround this amazing natural phenomenon. There is a speaker system on board so you are welcome to wait inside our cafeteria enjoying a warm drink or watching our own Northern Lights video. When the guide sees the lights, they will announce it on the speaker system so everyone knows to head outside and look up!

Our friendly crew takes photos on every tour that are available to download in the following days at no extra charge. They are also happy to assist with camera settings to give you the best chance of capturing the auroras.

## **Meet us at Sólheimajökull glacier for an easy glacier hike in South Iceland.**

The tour starts with an introduction to the equipment and safety rules needed to explore the glacier, then we take a short walk across the pitch black volcanic ash and sands towards the frozen glacier tongue that is Sólheimajökull outlet glacier. As you walk along the valley which the glacier filled only a few years ago, your certified glacier guide will show you how the glacier is retreating at an alarming rate, almost before you very eyes. At the glacier edge we lace up our crampons and following the guide you will explore this otherworldly natural wonder, a rugged, raw and ever changing hub of ancient frozen water. 

The glacier hike is an adventure like no other, and with the rapid rate of global climate change an adventure now only available in very few parts of the world. You will see how the primal elements shape and affect glacier, creating mesmerizing labyrinths of ice ridges and deep v-shaped crevasses that criss-cross and scar the surface of the ice. Not to mention the big sink holes, called "moulins", that sometimes have drilled their way through the glacier, all the way to the black sands below, draining the melt water of the ice in water slides and little waterfalls. The glacier also carries with it the ashes of volcanic eruptions from the distant and not so distant past, you might even be lucky enough to be able to collect a little sample of the Eyjafjalljökull volcanic ash from 2010.
